Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2, 2026

Dodomine™ ("Dodomine", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through dodomine.com (the "Site"), why, who we share it with, and the rights you have. It is written to meet Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25), Canada's PIPEDA and CASL, and, for visitors in those regions, the EU/UK GDPR and the California CCPA/CPRA.

1. Who is responsible

Dodomine™, GWH INC. , Quebec, Canada. (support@dodomine.com).

2. Information we collect

  • Information you give us: name, email, shipping and billing address, phone number, order details, messages you send to support, reviews, and marketing sign-ups.
  • Payment information: collected and processed by Shopify Payments and other payment providers. We do not store full card numbers.
  • Automatically collected: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring site or ad, items added to cart, approximate location, and cookie/pixel identifiers.
  • From third parties: fraud-screening results, carrier delivery events, and advertising platforms about ad interactions that led you to the Site.

3. How we use it (and legal basis)

  • To process and deliver orders, handle payments, returns and support (contract).
  • To prevent fraud and secure the Site (legitimate interests / legal obligation).
  • To send order and shipping updates (contract).
  • To send marketing emails or SMS and abandoned-cart reminders (consent — you can withdraw at any time).
  • To measure and improve the Site and our advertising (consent where required / legitimate interests).
  • To comply with tax, accounting and legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects; fraud-screening results may inform whether we accept an order, and you may ask for a human review.

4. Cookies, pixels and similar technologies

We and our partners use cookies, pixels and similar tools to keep your cart, remember settings, analyse traffic and measure advertising (for example Shopify, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Google). Where required by law, non-essential cookies are used only after you consent via the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time. You can also block cookies in your browser settings, although parts of the Site may not work. Some advertising partners may consider certain sharing a "sale" or "share" under California law; you can opt out using the cookie banner or by emailing us.

5. Who we share information with

Only as needed, with: Shopify (store platform, hosting, payments, checkout); shipping carriers and fulfilment/supplier partners; payment processors and fraud-screening providers; email/SMS marketing services (e.g. Klaviyo); analytics and advertising platforms (e.g. Meta, TikTok, Google); customer-support tools; professional advisers; and authorities where legally required. Service providers may only use information to provide services to us.

6. International transfers

Your information may be processed outside your province or country, including in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. Where required (e.g. Quebec Law 25, GDPR), we take steps to ensure comparable protection, including contractual safeguards, and we assess privacy risks before transfers. Information may be accessible to foreign authorities under local law.

7. Retention

We keep information only as long as necessary for the purposes above: order and accounting records for as long as legally required (typically up to 6–7 years); marketing data until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete; support correspondence for a reasonable period. We then delete or anonymise it.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: access your information; request a copy in a structured, commonly used format (portability); correct inaccurate information; delete or de-index it; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; ask how automated decisions are made; and opt out of sale/sharing and targeted advertising. In Quebec you also have the right to be told the categories of persons with access to your information within the organisation and the retention period. To exercise any right, email Support@dodomine.com; we will respond within 30 days and may need to verify your identity. If unsatisfied, you may complain to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, your local EU/UK supervisory authority (ICO in the UK), or the California Attorney General. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

9. Marketing communications (CASL)

We send marketing emails or texts only with your consent. Each message identifies us and includes an unsubscribe mechanism that works immediately and free of charge. Transactional messages (orders, shipping, support) are not marketing and will continue.

10. Security

We use reasonable physical, organisational and technical safeguards (e.g. encrypted checkout via Shopify, access controls). No system is perfectly secure. If a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious injury occurs, we will notify affected persons and the competent authorities as the law requires.

11. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 14 (or the age set by local law), and we do not knowingly collect their information. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information and we will delete it.

12. Third-party links

The Site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

13. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version; material changes will be highlighted on the Site or notified by email where required.
